Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026 · Last updated October 6, 2026
This policy explains how OliAug, LLC ("OliAug," "we," "us," "our") handles consumer health data in Long Time, No Clue (the "app"). It is written for Washington's My Health Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law (SB 370) and Connecticut's consumer health data protections, and it applies to everyone who uses the app. It supplements our main privacy policy, which describes all the information we handle.
The short version
- The app does not ask for health information. It only has health details if you choose to mention them in a memory.
- We use those details only to provide the features you ask for.
- We never sell consumer health data and never use it for advertising.
- Nothing is processed until you give consent in the app, and you can withdraw consent or delete your data at any time.
1. What consumer health data we may collect
"Consumer health data" means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to a person and identifies their past, present or future physical or mental health status. In the app, this can only be information that you say or type in your memories, about yourself or about other people. For example:
- "Jim had knee surgery last month."
- "Maya is pregnant and due in March."
- "I've been seeing a physical therapist for my back."
- details about conditions, treatments, medications, appointments, pregnancies or recoveries that you mention.
This information may appear in your voice recordings, the resulting transcripts, typed notes, and the organized details the app creates from them (such as notes about a person, follow-ups, reminders and catch-up briefings). The app does not connect to Apple Health or other health apps, does not use biometric data (Face ID is handled entirely by Apple on your device), and does not infer health conditions from your location or other activity.
2. Where it comes from
We collect consumer health data only from you, the account holder, when you record, share or type a memory, or correct the details the app organized. We do not buy health data or receive it from other companies.
3. Why we collect and use it
We collect and use consumer health data only to provide the features you ask for, namely:
- transcribing and organizing your memories into people, places and details;
- creating the follow-ups and reminders you ask for (for example "ask Jim how his knee is doing"); and
- preparing catch-up briefings before you see someone, and helping you find details you saved.
We also handle it as part of keeping the service secure and complying with law. We do not use it for advertising, marketing or profiling, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
4. Who we share it with
We share consumer health data only with the service providers (processors) listed in our privacy policy that need it to run the app for you, under contracts that limit how they may use it. In practice that means:
- Supabase, Inc. (hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States), which stores your account data; and
- OpenAI, L.L.C., which transcribes and organizes your memories with your consent. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models and may keep it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the safety of a person, as described in our privacy policy. We never sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We do not use it for targeted advertising. Optional arrival reminders are places you choose yourself, run only on your phone, and are never used by us to identify, track or advertise to people visiting health care facilities.
5. Your consent
Before any of your content is sent for AI processing, the app asks for your explicit consent on an in-app consent screen. That consent covers collecting and processing any consumer health data you choose to include in your memories, solely to provide the service. We will ask again before using consumer health data for any other purpose, and we will never sell it.
You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings › Your profile and permissions. Withdrawing stops future processing. It does not undo processing already done, and the app's main features need AI processing to work. You can still export or delete your data.
Please only save health information about other people that you are allowed to keep and that is for your own personal use.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, and in any case as a matter of our policy, you have the right to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data (we never sell it);
- access your consumer health data, including a list of the third parties and processors we have shared it with;
- delete your consumer health data, which we will also ask our processors to delete; and
- withdraw consent to its collection and sharing.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
7. How to exercise your rights
- Access: use Settings › Privacy › Export my data for a JSON copy of your account data plus download links to your photos and recordings (the links stay valid for 7 days).
- Delete: edit or delete individual memories or details at any time, delete just a memory's words, or delete everything with Settings › Privacy › Delete Account Completely.
- Withdraw consent: Settings › Your profile and permissions.
- By email: write to info@oliaug.com with the subject "Consumer health data request." Please send it from the email address on your account so we can verify it is you.
We will respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we need more time, we may extend this by another 45 days where the law allows, and we will tell you why within the first 45 days. Requests are free of charge, up to twice a year.
8. Appeals
If we decline your request, in whole or in part, you can appeal by replying to our decision (or emailing info@oliaug.com with the subject "Consumer health data appeal"). We will respond in writing within 45 days, explaining what we did and why. If your appeal is denied, Washington residents may contact the Washington State Attorney General. Residents of other states may contact their own state attorney general.
9. Security and retention
We protect consumer health data in the same way as all your account data: account-level access controls in our database, encrypted connections and encryption at rest by our hosting provider, with access limited to people and providers who need it to run the service. We keep it until you delete it or delete your account, as described in our privacy policy.
10. Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Before we collect or use consumer health data in a materially different way, we will ask for your consent again in the app.
